Founding the Heart Open Publishing Enterprise - THE BLOG IS BACK!
I never thought I would become a publisher! The publishing industry is saturated!
The exact number of books uploaded to Amazon daily is not publically known but I've seen figures ranging from 7,500 per day - 12,000 per day in the US alone.
Why would anyone write a book right now?
And further, why would anyone start a publishing company?
Especially when is is estimated that 1.7 - 2.3 million books per year are self-published!!
Add to that, it has now become possible to write your book completely using AI, taking a matter of days, not months or years.
These seem like completely hopeless facts!
....
And yet, I DID just start my own publishing house.
And I think there is no better time to publish than now, especially for heart driven and spiritually based leaders.
There is no better time to publish than right now!
How could I say such a thing?!
Well let me tell you..
FIRST, I will only ever be in celebration that the gatekeepers of the good-ol'-boys club have fallen.
This allows anyone who wants to, to share their story, heart and message. That has never been more true than now, and traditional publishing houses following the old model of patriarchal business are scrambling to maintain authority and prowess in the industry.
I have yet to see any tremendous benefit to being published with a traditional publisher over a hybrid publisher. Can't find the benefits
In fact, I consistently meet people going to these bigger name publishing houses and walking away angry, used, feeling like a number in a machine, and not with significantly more book sales either! These authors have been stripped of the rights to their story, oftentimes stripped of their voice, having their message altered to fit agendas of the publishing house. Then, they are given a meager 10% of the royalties of book sales, and told to do more to sell the thousands of books they had printed which are now sitting in a warehouse somewhere taking up space with the threat of being burned.
It's atrocious and completely unacceptable.

The New Earth asks us to look to new ways, and demands that our old systems crumble. The traditional publishing system is no exception.
So we find and create a new path together.
Gone are the days of publishers calling all the shots and bullying around their authors. Nope. I see this is as a co-creative partnership of the highest order.
Because guess what?!
The world always NEEDED your story but even 20 years ago you would've been hard pressed to get anyone to read it, let alone publish it. It would've taken you years of applying to the gatekeepers to see if your story was worthy of the narratives they sought to control.
SO WE MUST CELEBRATE that anyone, anywhere, from any background or circumstance can WRITE and PUBLISH!! Our dreams have been placed within our own hands, within our own control!!
At hope, we see the relationship between author and publisher as a co-creative partnership of the highest order.
But what about these colossal publishing challenges?!
PART 2 is coming to address this exactly. But for now let me just reiterate, this is SUCH AN EXCITING TIME for you to write your book!!!
Especially when you recognize that your story contains unique healing codes that the world needs, when you're willing to write from that place.... not just some run-of-the-mill HOW-TO...
